ABOUT OUR HOME
Sri Sathya Sai Krupa Home provides free shelter and education to economically weak and orphaned children. It was established in the year 1992 by Smt. Vijaya Lakshmi along with few like-minded people with the divine blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. It was inaugurated by the then Lady Governor Smt. Suman Krishan Kant, in the presence of the state president of Sri Sathya Sai Seva organizations, Andhra Pradesh.
The home is run by a non-profit charitable organization under the name Sri Sathya Sai Educational & Lepers Welfare Society, which was registered under the AP societies act in the year 1992.
The present home is located at Bharat Nagar and is currently housing 15 children between the age group of 5 and 17 years. The children are looked after with great attention and are nurtured very carefully as per the values-based integral education system professed by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
As part of the upbringing, the children are taught about Indian culture, human values, ethics, discipline, patriotism, devotion and self-confidence amongst other things.
Over the years, about 200 children have passed through the home portals with many now well-settled in life and working in some of the top companies. Many of them are still associated with the home and occasionally visit and help in the caretaking of the children.
SERVICE AS A VISION

Education is for the head; medical care is for the heart; and pure water is for the body. These three covers the main requirements of life. To provide these three gives one the greatest gratification.”

Baba’s entire life was spent in serving humanity and spreading the message of love. The above sayings of Baba reflect the importance that he attaches to Service. Sri Sathya Sai Krupa Home is a selfless service effort made in the direction shown by Baba through his many free service initiatives in the field of education.
